The Dozens Dictionary
Do•deca•nym: A definition of a difficult concept composed of a dozen one-syllable words. Or, you might say, “When you say a thought in twelve words of one sound each.”
AGNOSTICISM
No one can know if there is or is not a God.
BUDDHISM
We want; life is pain. The right path is to not want.
CHRISTIANITY
God’s son, Christ, died on the cross to pay for our sins.
COGITO ERGO SUM
If I doubt I am, then I am; or else who doubts?
DECONSTRUCTIONISM Words are made up of more words; no truth is in them.
EXISTENTIALISM We are free, but that means we have no one to blame.
GÖDEL'S INCOMPLETENESS THEOREM
There are true things in math for which there is no proof.
HEISENBERG’S UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE
You can know where it moves or how fast, but not both.
